چکیده

We present the exact solution to a one-dimensional multicomponent quantum lattice model interacting by an exchange operator which falls off as the inverse-sinh-square of the distance. This interaction contains a variable range as a parameter, and can thus interpolate between the known solutions for the nearest-neighbor chain, and the inverse-square chain. The energy, susceptibility, charge stiffness and the dispersion relations for low-lying excitations are explicitly calculated for the absolute ground state, as a function of both the range of the interaction and the number of species of fermions. 03.65.Db Typeset using REVTEX 1 I. THE LATTICE MODEL FROM THE EXCHANGE MODEL In a recent Physical Review Letter [1], to be called S2, Sutherland and Shastry introduced a one-dimensional, continuum, multi-component quantum many-body system with a hyperbolic exchange interaction, governed by the following Hamiltonian: Hcont = − 1 2 ∑

One-dimensional multicomponent Fermi gas in a trap: quantum Monte Carlo study

One-dimensional world is very unusual as there is an interplay between quantum statistics and geometry, and a strong short-range repulsion between atoms mimics Fermi exclusion principle, fermionizing the system. Instead, a system with a large number of components with a single atom in each, on the opposite acquires many bosonic properties. We study the ground-state properties of a multicomponen...

The comparison of two high-order semi-discrete central schemes for solving hyperbolic conservation laws

This work presents two high-order, semi-discrete, central-upwind schemes for computing approximate solutions of 1D systems of conservation laws. We propose a central weighted essentially non-oscillatory (CWENO) reconstruction, also we apply a fourth-order reconstruction proposed by Peer et al., and afterwards, we combine these reconstructions with a semi-discrete central-upwind numerical flux ...

Numerical ‎S‎olution of Two-Dimensional Hyperbolic Equations with Nonlocal Integral Conditions Using Radial Basis Functions‎

This paper proposes a numerical method to the two-dimensional hyperbolic equations with nonlocal integral conditions. The nonlocal integral equation is of major challenge in the frame work of the numerical solutions of PDEs. The method benefits from collocation radial basis function method, the generalized thin plate splines radial basis functions are used. Therefore, it does not require any str...

Investigation of Fluid-structure Interaction by Explicit Central Finite Difference Methods

Fluid-structure interaction (FSI) occurs when the dynamic water hammer forces; cause vibrations in the pipe wall. FSI in pipe systems due to Poisson and junction coupling has been the center of attention in recent years. It causes fluctuations in pressure heads and vibrations in the pipe wall. The governing equations of this phenomenon include a system of first order hyperbolic partial differen...

Multicomponent strongly attractive Fermi gas: A color superconductor in a one-dimensional harmonic trap

Recent advances in ultracold atomic Fermi gases make it possible to achieve a fermionic superfluid with multiple spin components. In this context, any mean-field description is expected to fail, owing to the presence of tightly bound clusters or molecules that consist of more than two particles. Here we present a detailed study of a strongly interacting multicomponent Fermi gas in a highly elon...
